Moisture in the air enters to compressor, as air pressure increase the existing moisture is condensed. The moisture in the warm air is more than cold air and there is no way to prevent it from entering into the compressor. By changing the pressure and temperature, the moisture in the air will change. By increasing pressure of the air, the temperature also rises and high temperature causes the moisture remains in the air until the compressed air goes out of compressor and reaches to water separator.
Water separator is used to separate moisture from compressed air centrifugal and it is removed by automatic drain from water separator.
